Ker-SPLAT!!!

REDSKINS 17 - RAMS 19

With a resounding THUD, the Redskins came crashing back to earth against the lowly St. Louis Rams. In a game the Skins should have dominated, they let the Rams hang around and hang around until finally giving up the winning field goal with 2 seconds left in the game.

The Redskins offense just could not seem to get in any kind of rhythm, and after not commiting any turnovers in the first 5 games, the Skins coughed up the ball three times in the first half including a devastating fumble which the Rams returned for a TD just before the end of the half.

I have to admit that, while this game should've been won easily by the Skins, I'm actually not that surprised. After the highs of beating the Eagles and Dallas on the road, the Skins were bound to have a clunker. However, if they ever want to shake the "pretender" label and move forward, the Skins absolutely MUST win these games against 0-4 teams. We have Cleveland at home and then Detroit on the road. There is no way we can afford to lose those games.

Once again; time will tell.
